Unauthorized Annual Subscription Charge From Academia.edu

On March 27, 2026, at 1:01 PM, a charge of $94 was made to my Garanti Bank credit card (ending in 1718) by Academia.edu under the name “annual subscription” without my knowledge or consent. I did not request any subscription, make any intentional purchase, or approve any agreement.

Although I tried to contact both Academia.edu and my bank regarding this issue, I have not received any response so far, and the problem remains unresolved. I have been negatively affected by this unauthorized transaction.

I am requesting that this unauthorized $94 charge be immediately canceled, fully refunded to me, and that all memberships and connections with Academia.edu be permanently terminated.
