Yves Rocher Refused to Exchange My Perfume Gift Claiming It Was Used

I went to the Yves Rocher store to exchange a perfume gift I received, bringing the unopened gift box with me. The salesperson opened the package and refused to exchange the perfume, claiming it had been used. Since the perfume bottle and its box don’t have protective seals, there’s no way to verify whether it was previously opened. It’s unfair to hold the gift recipient responsible for the lack of protective packaging. I expected a more considerate approach, especially when the product was clearly in gift condition. I believe this situation should be resolved, and I kindly request the exchange be reconsidered to prevent further inconvenience.
The response I received regarding the issue I experienced was, "We would like to inform you that we do not have an exchange or return policy for opened products. Thank you for your understanding." This is the response to someone who brings an unopened product, which you didn't sell with a sealed box but included an exchange card, back to the store... I never opened the product when it arrived to me. Your refusal to exchange a product without protection using this excuse has shaken my trust and confidence in you... How is the person who bought the product supposed to know if they received a used product? I have been your customer for 12 years, but never again from now on...
After receiving a negative response to my complaint, when I tried to use the perfume out of necessity, I was only able to spray it after pressing the cap three times. So, I was the first to spray the perfume. The claim that it was used is a lie. Do not buy perfume from this company.
