For the past week, I’ve been trying to create a new WeChat account on my Android phone, but during registration, the app requires me to scan a QR code from an existing WeChat user.
Since no one around me uses WeChat, I can’t complete this step, and the process won’t move forward. There’s no error code or extra message, the app simply stays on the QR code verification screen, preventing me from creating my account.
I haven’t been asked for any payment or additional information during signup. I live in Denizli, Turkey, and I’m requesting that WeChat provide an alternative verification method so users can register without needing another WeChat account.
