For about 10–20 days, I’ve been trying to create a new WeChat account on my Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G (Android) device, but I can’t get past the QR code verification screen.
During the registration process, the app asks me to scan a QR code from another WeChat user’s account, but no one around me uses WeChat, so I can’t complete this step. The app shows no error code or message, it just stays stuck on the QR scan screen and won’t move forward.
No payment or additional information is requested during signup — it simply doesn’t proceed. I live in Hatay, Turkey, and I’ve already contacted WeChat customer support, but I haven’t received any response. This is my first time using WeChat, and I’ve never experienced such a problem before.
The phone number I used to register ends with 7500. I’m requesting that WeChat provide a way to complete the registration without requiring another user’s QR code so I can finally open my account.
