ust four months after purchasing my 43-inch Vestel LED TV, it fell from the TV stand with a loud crash while my entire family was asleep. Upon investigation, I discovered that the legs of the TV had broken, causing the TV to fall and its LED panel to shatter.

I took the TV to the authorized Vestel service center, Alfa, in Büyükçekmece today, but they didn’t even accept it. They only took photos and said they would send them to the main office and that I would be contacted.

The fact that the TV's legs broke due to poor-quality materials should serve as a lesson to everyone, including myself. I have learned the hard way that Vestel is a regretful choice. They might even charge for the replacement of the LED panel that broke due to their inferior materials.

Please, my dear friends, don’t make the same mistake I did.

We received a response from the place where they said they would get back to us. They said the legs were made according to Turkish standards. They stated that breakages are not covered under warranty under any circumstances and asked for a price of 6500 TL. I object to the damage caused by poor-quality production being charged to me. Money is not easily earned, and I cannot accept what the company, which we respect as a Turkish brand, has done. It's a shame, really a shame.

Vestel representatives insisted that repairs resulting from falls, even if caused by the legs, would be charged. They didn't even take the legs to examine them. This showed how much Vestel stands behind its products. Since it was a product still under warranty, I had to accept the repair cost. But from now on, I won't have to buy another product from them. Maybe my decision not to buy won't affect Vestel, but it will make me extremely happy if those who read this take the necessary lessons. If I can prevent even one person from making this mistake, I will be very happy. One day, this could become a lesson for everyone.
