UPS Changed Confirmed Delivery Date and Customer Service Was Rude
I am writing to report my dissatisfaction with the handling of my UPS delivery and the way I was treated by customer service. My shipment with tracking number 1Z3W5W154235265587 is scheduled for delivery in Gig Harbor, WA, and it requires a signature upon delivery. Initially, I had a specific, confirmed delivery date, but yesterday this was suddenly changed to a three‑day delivery window without my consent. Because the package requires a signature, this unexpected change makes it very difficult for me to plan to be at home and creates unnecessary stress and inconvenience. When I contacted UPS customer service to get an explanation and a solution, I was shocked by the attitude I encountered. Instead of trying to help, the representative responded in an extremely rude and disrespectful way and literally said, “I didn’t give a shit.” This kind of language and disregard for a customer is completely unacceptable and unprofessional, especially from a company of UPS’s size and reputation. In this situation, I expect UPS to take responsibility for both the sudden change of the delivery date and the unacceptable behavior of its staff. I request a clear apology for the way I was spoken to and for the inconvenience caused by changing my confirmed delivery date to a three‑day window despite the signature requirement. I also expect UPS to review this incident and take the necessary steps so that other customers do not experience such disrespectful treatment in the future.
