Ulta Beauty Charged Me For an Out of Stock Item and Delayed My Refund

Recently, I ordered online from Ulta Beauty for pickup and discovered the item I wanted was really out of stock. They nonetheless charged my card for the whole amount. When I contacted customer support, they informed me I will be refunded three to five business days; but, I was left wondering why they charged me initially if they lacked the merchandise. Their rapid grab of the money but tardy return of it for an order they were unable to satisfy irritates me. When purchasing online with different stores, I have never run across this kind of problem. Ulta truly has to adjust their system to prevent consumer inconvenience of this nature.
