We Missed Turkish Airlines Flight Due to Misguidance at Istanbul Airport
On April 11, 2024, at 16:55 in Istanbul, we missed our THY flight to Montenegro despite being at the airport 50 minutes before the departure. We understand the importance of arriving early on the day of the flight; however, we experienced approximately 15-20 minutes of misguidance within the airport. Every time we asked 'Where should we go for Montenegro?', we received different answers. Although we arrived at least an hour before, the official said we missed the flight because we were just 10 minutes late. Later, while purchasing tickets again, the official mentioned that we could pass without checked baggage using our backpacks. If this was an option, why weren't we guided this way earlier? You may be the largest airport in Europe, but the lack of proper guidance inside causes passengers to miss their flights. In today's conditions, flight tickets are not easily affordable.
