Turkish Airlines Refund Issue for Unused Tickets
My wife, daughter, and I were not allowed to board Turkish Airlines flight TK 2431 due to overbooking. We were promised a refund and compensation (€100 per person) which we were told could be collected in cash at the Turkish Airlines ticketing office at Antalya Airport. We accepted this compensation and agreed to take the next flight. However, at both Antalya and Istanbul airports, we were informed that there was no cash available (they converted the payment to Turkish Lira immediately). They said the refund could not be processed. The Turkish Airlines officials at Istanbul Airport also mentioned that they could not take any account number from us and that we would have to come to the ticketing office to receive the payment in cash if available, with no specific time frame given. We faced difficulties at the airport with our 5-year-old daughter until late at night. The next day, I called customer service and was told to create a feedback report to process the refund. I submitted all the required documents, but 15 days have passed with no progress. There seems to be no responsible person to clarify the situation. Feedback numbers: TK-9117940 and TK-9141379. It's unbelievable that such a large company like Turkish Airlines is delaying the refund for three tickets for so long. I want this issue resolved as soon as possible.
