I purchased two Economy Class (e) - Primefly tickets for flight TK2032, Istanbul - Konya, on Friday, July 28, 2023, at 06:35. The main reason I chose the Primefly option was because it offered a 'Free Change' right. I paid an extra fee for this option.
On the night connecting July 27 to July 28, between 23:50 - 00:10, I wanted to change my flight to TK2042, Istanbul - Konya, on Friday, July 28, 2023, at 01:45. However, I was forced to pay an extra ₺404 for this change. Initially, I tried to make this change via my mobile phone. Upon seeing the extra fee, I sought help from THY personnel at the airport. Despite explaining that I purchased the Primefly option with the promise of a free change, I was still required to pay the extra fee.
To be more explanatory, I will share a sample screenshot of another flight. When purchasing a ticket, three options are offered: Ecofly, Extrafly, and Primefly. The additional services provided to the passenger are explained under each option. Under the Primefly option, there is a 'No Penalty for Changes' clause. When you select the Primefly option, you have to pay an extra fee of around ₺200 per person.
Despite paying extra initially, you unfortunately do not receive the promised service. I was forced to pay an additional ₺404 for the change. If a fee is going to be charged for the change, what is the point of the extra fee I initially paid? This amounts to deceiving people and is not befitting of a major company like THY, one of the leading firms in our country. I am dissatisfied with this situation and request a refund of the extra fee I paid.
