On July 30th, for the 18:55 (19:20 delayed) flight from Antalya to Istanbul, I went to check-in with 3 children and 2 adults for THY two hours before the flight.
The staff kept us waiting for about half an hour, then a female official confusingly told us that there was overbooking on the flight, and that we would be given €100 per person and accommodated in a hotel.
Since it was the first time I encountered such a situation, I told her I would call my spouse and my office.
Without us agreeing to stay, and without further explanation, she issued tickets through a confusing process and canceled the payment and hotel service that was to be provided to us.
Now we have arrived in Istanbul.
However, we experienced such a confusing situation that it did not match the professionalism of THY.
Due to our bad luck with the overbooking, we couldn't even accept the compensation per person.
I am very upset that THY caused me and my children to be distressed, as I felt put in a difficult situation and felt like I lost something.
