On 4/10/2023, I went to Istanbul Airport to fly to Vienna with my e-ticket number 2352201731621 via Turkish Airlines. I completed check-in at the counter and passed through passport control. I queued at gate 14/b for international flights. While boarding, I handed over my passport and boarding pass. An officer directed me to the office, stating that Vienna does not accept extended green passports. The office informed me that my ticket was on hold and that I needed to call the call center. The call center told me that my return ticket could not be refunded because I missed the flight and advised me to provide feedback. The officer who issued the boarding pass and the passport control officer did not know that extended passports are not accepted. How was I supposed to know? I have traveled to Italy, Bulgaria, and Greece with the same passport and returned without issues. I urgently request a refund or credit for my outbound and return tickets.
