Turkish Airlines Delayed My Refund
I purchased 3 Primefly tickets from Anadolu Jet, a subsidiary of Turkish Airlines, for the Erzurum-Ankara flight on 28.08.2023 with the reservation code RQE7Z3. I bought the tickets for my friend who is ill and the people who would accompany him on the flight. On August 27, my friend's condition worsened, and he was admitted to intensive care in Erzurum. Since the flight could not take place, I immediately called Turkish Airlines and requested to cancel the tickets approximately 36 hours in advance. A feedback with file number 9269556 was created, and I was told that the cancellation would be processed as soon as possible. Since Primefly tickets feature a full refund up to 12 hours before the flight, customer service put the tickets on hold to prevent any inconvenience in case of delays. I was then informed that the refund of ₺8,160 for my tickets would be processed within 3 business days. However, I was later told it could take 7 business days, 14 business days, and finally up to 2 months, delaying the process. I paid extra for Primefly tickets, which are supposed to be fully refundable without any deductions, but THY has prolonged the process. I have been waiting for approximately 45 days for my refund.
