Turkish Airlines Deducted My Award Miles but Did Not Issue the Ticket!
I tried to book a ticket with my award miles on Turkish Airlines. My miles were deducted from my account, but no ticket was issued. Despite this, I even received an email as if the booking had been successfully completed. In addition, I was not allowed to use the balance in my TK Wallet. The system interface is extremely poor and makes the customer experience even worse. I expect this issue to be resolved immediately. Otherwise, I will escalate the matter to the Consumer Arbitration Committee.
There has been no progress. Turkish Airlines has lost its former corporate identity.
The TK Wallet payment method is only valid for tickets and additional services purchased through the Turkish Airlines website or mobile application. However, the currency of the TK Wallet must be the same as the currency of the ticket to be paid. The TK Wallet can be created in one of four different currencies: TRY, EUR, USD, or GBP. In order to change the selected currency for the TK Wallet, the existing TK Wallet must be closed and a new wallet must be opened with the new currency. We would like to inform you that if the TK Wallet account is closed, any unused TK Money will become invalid. Harassment policy message I received Despite explaining my situation multiple times, the responses sent to me consist entirely of template phrases and automatic messages. In fact, the answers do not even make sense in Turkish, as if they were prepared by someone who has no knowledge of the issue. During this process, my grievance has increased exponentially; I have not been able to use my 100 USD balance and have suffered losses due to the increase in ticket prices. Moreover, this approach by Turkish Airlines seems to be nothing more than a policy aimed at discouraging customers.
