Turkish Airlines Damaged My Luggage And Didn't Resolve It
During a flight with Turkish Airlines, my luggage was damaged. The luggage was a gift from my aunt for my university graduation, so I don't know its price or where it was purchased. It's a cabin-size suitcase with only one handle, which is the damaged part, making it very difficult to use. Besides the broken handle, there were many deep scratches and dents on it. I reported the damage immediately upon receiving my luggage and have been struggling with the issue for quite some time. I took it to repair shops, but they said they couldn't find a matching part for the suitcase. Turkish Airlines requested a document stating that the suitcase couldn't be repaired. The repair shops said they couldn't provide an official document and suggested I just give up. At the final stages of the process, I was persistently told to find the same suitcase online, provide a document stating it couldn't be repaired, and include an invoice or something indicating its price. I contacted customer service several times, and each time they told me to keep trying, even if it gets rejected a few times. The problem is that the approval and rejection processes take time and require constant follow-up, which is exhausting for me as a student. I am still stuck at the same point, with the same documents being requested, and I have received approximately three rejections so far. I can't use my suitcase; it just sits there, and I feel helpless. I hope my issue gets resolved as soon as possible.
