Turkish Airlines Damaged My Baggage but Didn't Resolve It for 32 Days
Regarding my damaged luggage with THY. Since 15.11, my luggage with file number 2023262828, which was delivered in a damaged and irreparable condition, has not been resolved for 32 days. As stated in the company's letter, the replacement cost of my large Samsonite suitcase is ₺9,409, but I have only been offered half of that amount. With the offered half amount, I can't even purchase a cabin-sized suitcase of the same brand. I have a new flight with THY on 24.12 and I need a suitcase. The THY baggage department has apologized multiple times and acknowledged that I am right, but the insurance claims department has not responded to my objection and I am awaiting resolution. The legal period is 21 days, but I have been waiting for 32 days. It seems like a method to wear me down and make me give up. I trusted THY and chose them for all my flights, but we are not getting any answers. Instead of just saying 'you are right,' I expected a management that delivers definitive results and gets the job done. I request that my claim be resolved and that I be paid the amount needed to purchase a large suitcase before my flight on 24.12. I hope this time someone will resolve the claim.
