Turkish Airlines Canceled CIP Lounge Service
On May 10th, I purchased a round-trip ticket from Anadolu Jet for the Esenboga-Rize Artvin route (November 4-8) along with THY CIP lounge service. Upon arriving at the THY CIP lounge at Esenboga Airport on November 4th, we were informed that our ticket did not include lounge service. When I tried to show the invoice, they didn't even bother to look at it. Later, when I called THY customer service, they told me that the lounge service had been canceled. However, we did not initiate any cancellation, nor were we informed or refunded. The customer service representative I spoke with did not help resolve the issue or even create a complaint ticket. They advised us to register a complaint on their website. Since we planned to cross into Georgia after landing at Rize Artvin Airport, we bought the lounge service thinking we could have our meal at the airport. Wondering if the lounge service was included in our return ticket, we checked the CIP section at Rize-Artvin Airport, only to be told again that the service had been canceled by an unknown party at an unknown time. The inability to access such a critical service caused us significant inconvenience, more so than the refund issue. The indifference of the staff at Esenboga THY CIP lounge and the customer service representative made our situation indescribably frustrating.
