Overhead Bin Incident on Turkish Airlines Flight TK1372

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am Merve E***. On November 27, 2023, while on Turkish Airlines flight TK1372 from MLA to IST, I experienced an incident during landing. I was seated in seat 13C when the overhead bin in front of me suddenly opened, causing a small cabin bag to fall on me and hit the floor. At the time of the incident, the cabin crew were seated and did not witness the event. After landing, I reported the incident to the cabin supervisor, who only offered 'get well soon' wishes and mentioned that they would inform the technical team about the bin. I expressed my intention to file a complaint. The next day, I was unable to continue my work due to joint pain and obtained a doctor's report from the hospital. A fellow passenger, Turkish citizen M**** T*****, witnessed the incident.
It is truly disappointing that a globally reputable company like Turkish Airlines has overhead bins that do not close properly, posing a safety risk to passengers. I request compensation for the physical and emotional distress I have experienced.
