I've been an Elite status member of THY Miles Smiles for nearly 10 years. The card's validity date is listed as 31.12.2024, and I assumed my first year would end on 31.12.2023, during which I planned to accumulate 30,000 miles to maintain my status. However, it turns out that the one-year card validity period ends on October 1st, which is not mentioned anywhere.
There is no information regarding this in the mileage statement or Miles Smiles membership details. I had 3,500 miles available through the mile converter, but due to being 1,200 miles short, the card entered the second year and an additional 15,000 miles were added...
When I reached out for clarification, I was informed that THY requires 30,000 miles for the first year and 45,000 miles for the second year to maintain the card, and that there was no mistake...
What I'm trying to convey is, how do you determine the first year's validity period without providing any information? How are we supposed to know the exact date? Is it October 10th? November 15th? December 1st? October 1st?
If I had received this information, I would have used the mile converter to extend my card level for another 2 years. Now, you are asking for an additional 15,000 miles... The only date displayed on the screen is 31.12.2024.
Additionally, your applications are not up-to-date. The system still shows 1,421 miles needed to protect the card, and the converter does not work. Due to these application errors and shortcomings, we are being inconvenienced.
I kindly request that my grievance be resolved...
