Malfunctioned Seat in Business Class on Turkish Airlines Flight
On October 29, 2023, I flew to Seoul in business class. I frequently fly with THY, about 30-40 times a year, and I especially prefer business class for long flights. For the Seoul flight, if I remember correctly, I paid approximately ₺50,000-₺60,000 more than economy class, but the business class seat was not working. It was impossible to recline the seat. THY acknowledged this malfunction in writing, but to compensate for a similar experience on the same route, while 45,000 miles are required for a business upgrade, they only credited 20,000 miles as compensation. Paying an extra ₺50,000-₺60,000 for a one-way flight and encountering a non-functional seat without proper compensation is unacceptable. We don't pay ₺50,000 just for better food; the important aspect here is seat comfort and being able to sleep comfortably during the flight.
