Issue with Turkish Airlines Ticket Change for My Mother's Flight
We bought a plane ticket from Turkish Airlines for my mother due to a hospital visit. We mistakenly booked the return date as 05.03.2024 instead of 27.02.2024. We realized the mistake on the same day we purchased the ticket. We wanted to change the date, but they did not accept it. We offered to keep the ticket open, but they did not accept that either. We even offered to pay the price difference to make the change, but we were very harshly and insincerely rejected. My mother was left waiting at the airport for 4 hours for no reason. We had to buy a new ticket. We are humans and can make mistakes. Changing a wrongly booked ticket should not be this difficult. There is only a week difference, and the ticket would still sell if put on sale again. Turkish Airlines has caused us so much trouble that it is now 03:24 AM, and we have given up trying. On one hand, we are waking up from our sleep not knowing what to do, and on the other hand, our passenger is waiting at the airport. This attitude from Turkish Airlines is not seen in any other company. In the past, other companies made changes by charging a price difference when we faced a similar situation. Turkish Airlines' attitude is really not acceptable. I request the necessary authorities to address my grievance.
