Free Hotel Accommodation Issue of Turkish Airlines
Hello, normally my flight from Hatay was a connecting flight to Australia, but due to an issue with the airline, my flight was delayed. However, my flight from Kuala Lumpur to Sydney has a layover of more than 12 hours after arriving from Istanbul to Kuala Lumpur. In such cases, the airline should arrange hotel accommodation. I showed this to the authorities here. They said they couldn't do it, and now I'm in Malaysia. Unfortunately, I will have to travel under very uncomfortable conditions. The policy states, 'Passengers with a layover of 12 hours or more for Economy Class and 9 hours or more for Business Class can benefit from free hotel accommodation if no shorter connecting flight is available for the relevant travel. (Note: Even if a shorter connecting flight is fully booked, this service cannot be utilized.) For example, if passengers are offered two different options for a London-Dubai trip, one with a 6-hour layover and another with a 12-hour layover, passengers choosing the 12-hour layover flight cannot benefit from this service even if the 6-hour layover flight is fully booked.' Despite showing this, they did not provide hotel accommodation. I request that the necessary action be taken.
