On August 7, 2023, I experienced the worst flight of my life on TK 7263 from Adana to Istanbul. The scheduled departure time was 22:20, but it was delayed to 22:40, and then again to 23:00. Although it was an Anadolu Jet flight, it was advertised as a THY flight, as Anadolu Jet is a subsidiary of THY. Once on board, everyone was tense and irritable. I was seated in row 8.
In row 1, there was a dog and a newborn baby. In rows 10 and 11, there were children around 7-8 years old who wouldn't stop making noise despite repeated warnings from passengers. The dog kept barking, and the baby was constantly crying. The man next to me was heavily intoxicated.
It was a maddening environment that disturbed all passengers. There were no earplugs or blankets available on the flight, only water was provided. And then came the real shocker: just as we were about to land, with about 10 minutes left, the pilot announced that we would be circling for 45 minutes because we couldn't land at Sabiha.
We circled for exactly 45 minutes before the inexperienced pilot finally landed the plane abruptly. After disembarking, we boarded a bus that took us 15 minutes to reach the terminal, as we were dropped off quite far from it, almost outside Sabiha. The entire experience was a scandal with 4 delays and a terrible journey!
