I purchased a connecting flight ticket via Trip.com with Air Arabia on June 20, 2025, for a trip scheduled on July 9, 2025: Bangkok – Sharjah / Sharjah – Istanbul. When I bought the ticket, the layover time was around 55 minutes. However, on July 5, I received an email informing me that the time of my first flight had changed and that my layover time had been reduced to less than 20 minutes. At first, I tried to change the flight time, but I could not find any suitable alternative, so I requested a cancellation instead. Despite about a week having passed and the flight having already taken place as of yesterday, I have not received any clear information or a refund. I contacted customer service multiple times, but they kept telling me they were waiting for approval from the airline. The change in the flight time was not due to any reason under my control — it was entirely caused by the airline. Yet I could not find any proper customer service agent who could help me explain my situation or provide clear information. A total of around €273.23 has been withheld by Trip.com and Air Arabia, and no concrete explanation has been given for days. Do not travel with these two companies — they show no professionalism at all. Your holiday could be ruined. It is better to pay a little more and travel with reputable companies. Otherwise, you may end up stressed in the middle of your vacation, wondering whether you will be stranded in a foreign country, just like I was.
