Dear Friends,
As someone who has always been a huge Toyota fan—90 out of my 100 posts are about the Toyota Hilux—I never thought I’d say this: I will never buy a Toyota again. The reason is my experience with Toyota Turkey and my 3-month-old Toyota Hilux. Here’s what I’ve been dealing with:
Passenger Airbag Warning Light: Two days after purchasing the vehicle, the passenger airbag warning light came on. The service center identified it as a "factory notch defect" and replaced it.
Steering Trim Plastic: A factory defect caused this to break. I've been waiting for 4 months, and the replacement part still hasn’t arrived.
Spare Tire Pressure Sensor: The sensor is defective, causing constant tire pressure warnings. I’ve been waiting for this part for over a month, and the issue remains unresolved. This is a safety hazard; if the tire pressure actually drops, I might ignore the warning, potentially leading to an accident.
Left Front Wheel Bearing: I had an accident 15 days ago, and my vehicle has been in the service center since. The necessary parts were ordered, but today I was shocked to learn that the left front wheel bearing is out of stock. This is a critical part, and without it, the car cannot be driven.
Toyota’s lack of spare parts for essential components is unacceptable. Even less expensive vehicles have parts readily available, yet I’m told I’ll need to wait at least 10 days for a part that costs ₺1,000 at a repair shop. How can a brand selling vehicles priced at ₺12 million not have such a vital component in stock?
My vehicle's license plate is 17 AG* 919, and I’ve already opened two records with customer service. Toyota Turkey, I await your explanation and immediate action to resolve these issues.
Sincerely,
Volkan
