Testora IQ Free Trial Charged £34.76 – Cancellation and Refund Request
Some time ago I took what was advertised as a free trial with Testora IQ. My clear understanding was that this would be a one‑off IQ test, and that I would only pay extra if I later chose to find out more about my score. At no stage do I remember being clearly informed that I was signing up to an ongoing paid subscription. Despite this, over the last couple of months I have discovered multiple payments taken from my Bank of Scotland debit card. These include repeated charges of around £34.76, along with some smaller amounts, which I did not knowingly agree to. As I am now in my late 80s, dealing with unexpected online charges and confusing terms is extremely stressful for me. On checking my account, I believed I had managed to cancel, but further money was still taken in September. I then tried to send a cancellation request to the company using the email address I had, but my message bounced back as not recognised. I have already spoken to my bank, Bank of Scotland, but they suggested that I should first contact the company directly. I have tried to do so, but my attempts have not been successful, and the charges have continued. I am asking for this ongoing subscription, which I do not knowingly remember agreeing to, to be cancelled immediately and for all the amounts that have been taken without my clear and informed consent to be fully reimbursed. I would also like written confirmation that no further money will be taken from my card.
