In August 2025, we took delivery of a brand-new, black Tesla Model Y. The vehicle currently has only 5,562 kilometers on it, and even though it has not yet been a year since purchase, we are now facing a serious paint issue.
While washing the vehicle today, we noticed that the paint is peeling on the lower sections of both rear doors. In addition, the paint surface on the trunk area appears rough and bubbled, although it has not yet started peeling there. At first, we assumed this might be caused by rain, ice, road salt, or mud residue. However, upon closer inspection, it became clear that this is entirely a paint-related defect.
The vehicle is used in the Zonguldak/Filyos region, and considering its low mileage, age, and normal usage conditions, we believe this type of paint problem is unacceptable. We consider this to be a manufacturing or material-related paint defect and request that the peeling paint on the lower rear door sections and the defects on the trunk area be repaired permanently under warranty, free of charge, by an authorized Tesla service center.
We ask that this matter be formally inspected, that we be informed of the findings, and that all necessary paint repairs be completed under warranty without any cost to us.
