Sunglass Hut Refuses Discounted Lens Replacement for Scratched Ray-Ban Sunglasses

Approximately three months ago, I purchased a pair of Ray-Ban sunglasses from the Sunglass Hut counter located within the Boyner store on Bağdat Avenue, Istanbul. During the transaction, sales representatives explicitly assured me that the product came with a comprehensive two-year warranty providing full post-purchase support without disclosing any specific exclusions.
Recently, scratches developed on the lenses. When I presented the sunglasses at the store today, staff immediately rejected my request, citing that lens scratches are excluded from warranty coverage. While broad, reassuring warranty promises were emphasized to secure the sale, post-purchase support was flatly denied by invoking fine-print terms that were never disclosed at the point of sale. Furthermore, staff refused to offer standard industry remedies commonly extended for out-of-warranty lens damage, such as a 50% discounted lens replacement option.
Selling products using misleading, generalized warranty representations while withholding material exclusions at purchase violates basic principles of consumer transparency.
I demand that Boyner and Sunglass Hut conduct a formal re-evaluation of my product, provide a written explanation detailing the exact grounds for warranty refusal, and offer an equitable resolution, such as a complimentary or discounted lens replacement.
