Sunglass Hut Staff Refuse Post-Sale Support on Ray-Ban Sunglasses in Vadi Istanbul
In August 2024, I purchased a pair of Ray-Ban sunglasses from the Sunglass Hut store in Vadi Istanbul. After approximately two years of regular use, a screw loosened and was reattached at Atasun Optik. Subsequently, the frame became misaligned, and I returned to the original place of purchase—Sunglass Hut Vadi Istanbul—seeking basic post-sale support or adjustment.
Store personnel completely refused to inspect or assist with the item, stating that they do not handle repairs or adjustments. Instead, the staff dismissively informed me that because over a year had passed since purchase, no support could be offered, and suggested I take the product to Atasun Optik or an independent optician for repair.
Upon visiting the Atasun Optik store in Vadi Istanbul, the store manager manually realigned the frame in seconds at no charge. The manager noted that I was the second customer that day sent to them by Sunglass Hut, revealing a routine practice of offloading basic post-purchase care onto competitor outlets.
Redirecting customers to competitor businesses to handle basic adjustments for products sold under the store's own banner reflects an unacceptable lack of post-sale accountability and poor customer service.
I demand a formal written apology from Sunglass Hut management regarding the dismissive treatment experienced at the Vadi Istanbul store, alongside a meaningful store discount applied toward a future purchase to restore goodwill.
