Sunexpress Flight Cancellation Without Notice!
I had a ticket for the XQ831 flight from Birmingham to Izmir, scheduled for 05 TEM BHX-ADB 23:10-05:05(+1), which did not take place. This flight was canceled, and I did not receive any email notification until the check-in time. When I arrived at Birmingham International Airport three hours before the flight, I learned that my flight was canceled. I called Sunexpress Airlines and made changes to my UA973K reservation. I spent 5.8£ to get to Birmingham Airport in vain and it cost me another 5.8£ to return. The next day, another flight was arranged from London to Izmir. As a result, I missed one night of my vacation in Izmir and paid an additional 53.09£ for a train from Marston Green to Gatwick Airport to catch the flight the next day. Therefore, I arrived in Turkey one day late with the XQ883 flight on 06 TEM LGW-ADB 19:05-01:00(+1). Sunexpress did not inform me about the cancellation. I did not receive any email. According to the Civil Aviation Authority, since the distance is between 1500-3500 km, I requested 350£ compensation from Sunexpress, but I did not even receive a response to my case. I hope Sunexpress sees this complaint and takes the necessary action.
