Mix-Up With Stripe And My Business Account Led To Money Hostage
There seems to be a bit of a mix-up with Stripe and my new business account. Back in March, started using Stripe to process payments, and everything seemed fine. My first client sent a $500 payment, but Stripe took a chunk out for fees, leaving $490 that should have gone to my account, yet it didn’t. They say they can't refund the money to my client or release it to me. They haven't explained why, even though I sent them all the paperwork they asked for, like my business info and my client's bank statement… my client wants their money back, but I can't pay them until Stripe releases the funds. Also why not give us a clear explanation as to why they deactivated my account in the first place.
