On January 9, 2025, I purchased a jacket (code: 0576****39) from the Stradivarius store at Forum Istanbul. Even though I wore it only a few times, the collar area began to fray and come apart. I never washed the jacket, never sent it for dry cleaning, and haven’t applied any treatment or alteration. I first noticed the fraying in February, and by March, it had gotten significantly worse.
When I visited the Forum Istanbul Stradivarius store on October 9, 2025, the staff asked for my receipt. After a long effort involving my bank and customer service, I finally located it. However, the store representative suggested that I might have hung the jacket incorrectly or caught the collar on something, which I strongly disagree with. The damaged area is on the outer fold of the collar, and it’s clearly not due to user error. The product wasn’t even sent for inspection, and I was told that no action could be taken, leaving the store empty-handed.
I purchased the jacket for $85 using a credit card, and store staff confirmed that the item had a two-season warranty. I previously contacted both the store and customer service, but I didn’t receive adequate assistance in locating my receipt. There has been no misuse or external damage to the jacket.
I am requesting a replacement or full refund for the defective jacket. I also expect Stradivarius to handle this issue promptly, as I will otherwise file a formal complaint with the Consumer Arbitration Board.
