Hello, I purchased my WF-1000XM4 earbuds from Turkey's Media Markt online site on March 17, 2023, and was quite satisfied with their performance. However, on July 11, 2023, after updating to version 2.0.1, my device started behaving unusually, unlike anything I had experienced before. Following the update, when I placed the earbuds back in their case, I noticed a red light blinking, indicating that they were not charging properly. After letting them rest for a while, I attempted to charge them again, but this time they did not charge at all, and the case failed to detect the earbuds. Concerned about the situation, on July 12, 2023, I took the product to Media Markt's Mall Of Istanbul store to avail the warranty. The product was dispatched through Yurtiçi Kargo on July 16, 2023, and reached the technical service on July 18, 2023. However, after 25 days of submission (August 5, 2023), I received a message stating that the warranty did not cover the device due to liquid damage. This came as a surprise, so I called Eurasia customer service at 444 7 669, which is known for complaints on sikayetvar.com, to explain my situation, but they could not assist me. It is disheartening to have an item that I could not fully enjoy for even five months and am still paying installments for. Considering my trust in Sony products, I opted for the new model with the Eurasia warranty. The product is IPX4 certified and designed to withstand exposure to liquids, making it suitable for use in the gym without any worries. If the issue was related to sweat, I had previously used WF-1000XM3 without any IPX4 certification for three years without facing any problems, which led me to choose the upgraded model. Moreover, if the problem indeed arose due to liquid damage, I cannot comprehend why the earbuds were functioning perfectly fine before the update and suddenly malfunctioned after it. This raises concerns as I have come across other users online experiencing similar problems on platforms like sikayetvar.com. I request that Sony closely monitors its operations in Turkey and provides a resolution for my issue. Your assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
