About a year ago, I purchased the Skechers D’lites - Good Neutral 149807 model from the Hilltown Izmir Skechers store. Despite using the shoes under completely normal conditions, a split developed on the side of the right shoe. I brought them back to the store for inspection, and they were submitted under request number 1-448808.
The response I received blamed the issue on “user error,” but no explanation or evidence was provided. I refused to accept this vague response and asked for a second inspection, which was processed under request number 1-453776. Again, they claimed it was due to user error—even though I never wore the shoes in rain, on rough terrain, never washed them with chemicals, or put them in a washing machine.
How does a shoe sold at ₺6,200 fall apart in just one year under such careful use? I live in Izmir, not hiking in the mountains, and treated the shoes gently. Skechers’ refusal to stand by their product is deeply disappointing. The lack of accountability and poor technical support shows that they are not interested in customer satisfaction.
I’m not asking for a refund—I simply want the product exchanged. But there is no one I can speak to for a proper resolution. Skechers, I urge you to take this matter seriously and replace the defective item. Your customers deserve better.
