Segway F2 Footstand Broke During Setup and Service Refused Support

I purchased a Segway F2 electric scooter from Media Markt, and during the setup stage the kickstand (footstand) broke off in my hand. No pressure or force was applied—it simply detached unexpectedly.

The next day, I contacted the authorized service center to report the issue. Instead of offering assistance, they dismissed my claim outright. They told me that such a failure was “impossible” and that the kickstand could not possibly break under normal circumstances. Speaking as if they themselves manufactured the product, they insisted it must be user error and refused to acknowledge any responsibility.

What frustrates me most is that for such a small defective part, a company like Segway chose to dismiss the problem rather than stand behind a product worth thousands of lira. Their response was blunt, unhelpful, and left me without any solution.

I demand that Segway and its authorized service center take responsibility for this defect and replace or repair the broken kickstand without trying to shift the blame onto the customer. A global company should value its customers enough to handle such issues professionally instead of denying them outright.
