Brand New Ninebot Scooter Has Chronic Wobble Problem

November 18, 2025 6:55 PM52

I purchased a Ninebot Segway electric scooter as a brand-new, 1-day-old device from the MediaMarkt store, for $563 in 4 installments on my credit card. When I used it for the first time, I noticed a serious wobbling issue in the handlebars. I later learned that this is a chronic problem and that many other users have experienced the same issue.

The next day, I returned to MediaMarkt and explained the situation. However, they refused my request for a refund or replacement, saying they needed an “official fault report.” Instead, they only opened a malfunction ticket and sent the device to service. The service technician also verbally confirmed that the issue is chronic, and now I am told that we are waiting for a response from the factory. After that, no one followed up, and I was told to resolve the issue with Bilkom. Bilkom told me to bring the scooter back to the store, while MediaMarkt said, “we can’t take it.” I have been passed back and forth for 8 days with phone calls, and no one has helped.

Being put through so much trouble and frustration over a brand-new, only one-day-old scooter has completely damaged my trust in the brand. I do not want a repair for a product that was faulty from day one — I am requesting a full refund. I ask that my situation be resolved quickly and that the refund be processed immediately.
