Securitas Asked for a High Fee When I Requested an Alarm Transfer After 12 Years
I have been using Securitas alarm for 12 years, and recently I called them to request a transfer while moving. They quoted me ₺2,000 for disassembly and ₺3,000 for assembly, totaling ₺5,000. This is completely unacceptable—they’ve clearly lost control with such pricing. I even asked if there was any discount for long-time customers, but they refused without hesitation. It's frustrating to see that loyalty over the years counts for nothing. I’ve decided to cancel my subscription. Anyone considering subscribing should be aware of these costs in advance and make their decision accordingly.
They did not call me back, so I called again and said I needed to cancel because I am moving urgently. They reduced the price to 3,500 TL as 1,000 TL for disassembly and 2,500 TL for assembly. I said the amount was still too high and that my cancellation request was valid. Since the products are rentals, they said they would charge 3,000 TL for disassembly anyway, so it would come to the same amount. Normally, the disassembly fee is 1,000 TL with a discount for moving, but it goes up to 3,000 TL for subscription cancellation. I said I did not want disassembly, that I would dismantle and deliver the products myself, but they did not accept this and said they would invoice me for all the products. I stated that if they agree, I will dismantle and deliver them myself, and if not, they should come and dismantle and collect them, but I will not pay the disassembly fee, and if they want, they can take the matter to court.
