I Tried Scannero.io Phone Location Service and They Charged Without Consent

I tried to use Scannero.io’s phone-number location service, even though I was skeptical it would work. The trial fee showed as ₺29, so I paid with my virtual card to test it. After payment, the confirmation screen displayed a total of ₺997, which alarmed me. I researched online and discovered the company later charges the full amount to your credit card after the “trial.” Realizing this was unauthorized, I immediately called my bank. Since I paid with a virtual card, the bank advised me to cancel that card to stop further charges. I canceled it right away.

This practice is unacceptable: advertising a low trial cost, then switching to a much higher charge without clear consent. Scannero.io, refund any unauthorized withdrawals, clarify your billing terms transparently, and stop imposing hidden fees. I also urge potential users to beware and verify before sharing payment details. Resolve this now, or I will escalate the issue to consumer protection and warn others publicly to avoid unexpected charges.
