Samsung 75Q70 QLED TV Frame Bent After Only Two Months of Use
I purchased a Samsung 75Q70 QLED TV in July 2024, and only two months later the frame began to bend, the back cover opened up, and the TV started leaning backward. I created a service request, and I have attached the image that includes the response I received.
The explanation I was given was that the TV was placed too close to a radiator. However, there has been a television in that exact location for 15 years and nothing like this ever happened. Even more importantly, that radiator does not even work. Even if someone argued that it might work someday, are we supposed to believe a radiator runs at 250 degrees and bends the plastic frame of a television?
Also, your team installed this TV in that exact location. After the installation, you even took photos and uploaded them into your system. Why didn’t anyone say at that time: “There is a radiator here, this TV should not be placed in this location. Otherwise the frame could warp or the back cover could open and it would not be covered under warranty.”
The bottom line is this: if you do not have a place at least 3 meters away from a radiator to put your TV in your home, do not buy Samsung. My LG TV worked for 15 years in the same spot without any issues. At least they stand behind their products instead of trying to cover up defects with excuses like this.
