Salomon Speedcross 4 GTX Heel Damage After 5 Months – Requesting Refund
On 05/04/2024, I purchased a pair of Salomon Speedcross 4 GTX shoes from Athletic Zone. After just five months of light use (about once or twice per week), the inner heel support on the right shoe tore, and there’s noticeable wear on the left shoe as well. I sent the shoes to Athletic Zone for inspection and followed up periodically. When I last checked on October 17, after waiting the full 21-business-day response period, I received the standard rejection message from Salomon Turkey.
Given the product's two-year warranty, it’s unacceptable for such damage to occur after only five months of moderate use. I own another pair of Salomon shoes, which have held up well, so this defect is unexpected. I am requesting that Salomon stand behind their product by offering a refund or replacement. I’ve already filed a complaint with the Consumer Arbitration Committee and sent an email to Salomon as well—though, predictably, I received no response.
