Promova Charged Me $68 During a Free Trial Without Consent
I subscribed to the Promova app through the Google Play Store after seeing that it offered a three-day free trial. It stated that I would be charged after the trial period ended. However, immediately after the trial started, on December 20, 2025, $68 was charged to my card as an annual subscription fee.
After this annual fee was charged without any additional confirmation while the trial period was still active, I canceled my subscription through Google Play on December 22, 2025. Despite this, no refund has been issued, and I have not yet been able to speak with either Promova or Google Play support regarding this charge.
I started this subscription in reliance on the three-day free trial statement. Even though I canceled during the trial period, $68 was charged to my card, and I am requesting a full refund of this amount.
