Unauthorized Preply Auto-Renewal Charged My Credit Card
On Sunday, May 10, 2026, I discovered that approximately $125 had been charged to my Yapı Kredi card linked to my Preply account without my authorization or any 3D Secure verification. I had previously purchased a subscription, but I never agreed to an automatic renewal—especially not for a charge of this amount.
When I contacted Preply Customer Support, I was told that the refund process could take up to 30 business days. I am experiencing financial hardship because my card was charged without my consent, and I find it unreasonable that I may have to wait such a long time to receive my money back.
I request an immediate refund of the approximately $125 that was charged without my authorization. I also ask that my subscription be canceled immediately and that all future automatic renewals and recurring charges on my card be permanently disabled to prevent any unauthorized payments in the future.
