Philips 58PUS8507 Panel Failure Just After Warranty


In September 2023, I purchased a Philips 58PUS8507/62 television through the Hepsiburada application by deliberately choosing Philips, paying more than equivalent products because I trusted the brand. While my close circle has been using more economical brands without any problems, I preferred Philips expecting more durable and reliable use. Yesterday, the image on my television suddenly started to deteriorate. Horizontal and vertical lines appear on the screen and the picture is distorted for about 2–3 seconds every 2–3 seconds, making it impossible to watch TV properly. I contacted the authorized Philips service, and I was informed that the problem is a panel failure, that the 2‑year warranty period had expired about 5 months ago, and that the repair would cost approximately ₺25,000. They also stated that the risk of the same fault recurring is very high even after repair. I find it unacceptable that a television I chose by paying a higher price and trusting the Philips brand has a serious panel fault in such a short usage period and that I am faced with a repair fee close to the product price, with a high risk of recurrence. I expect Philips to stand behind its product in this situation and to replace my television with a trouble‑free, equivalent model without any charge. I kindly request that my situation be urgently reviewed as an exception despite the warranty period having just passed, that a solution be produced in line with the trust I placed in the brand, and that I be informed in writing about the result. Regardless of the outcome of this process, I would also like to state that I will share my entire experience with this product and the support I received on my social media accounts with high follower counts.
