High Return Costs for Hills Duck Cat Food Purchased from Pet Smart

I purchased a 3 kg bag of Hills duck cat food from Pet Smart, mistakenly thinking it was chicken. When I realized my error, I tried to initiate a return. However, their website provides no clear information on return policies. I filled out the return request form but found no instructions, shipping code, or details for the return process.

Later, I received a call in an unprofessional tone informing me that both delivery and return shipping costs would be my responsibility. They sent an Aras Kargo code via WhatsApp, but when I went to ship it, I was charged ₺113 for just the return shipping. For a ₺665 product, the total return cost, including delivery fees, was ₺226.

This makes returns practically impossible and highly expensive. I’ve never faced such high return costs with any other online store. The lack of transparency and professionalism on their website shows a lack of corporate standards. I strongly advise others to avoid shopping on this platform unless they are certain they won’t need to return the product. Pet Smart must improve its return policy and provide clear guidelines to its customers.
