Personality.co Charged Me Without My Consent
I had taken a personality test on personality.co on 9 June 2025 and paid 69 Turkish liras for access to the test results. On the same day, I cancelled my membership through the website and did not receive any further charges for almost six months, which I consider clear proof that my cancellation was successful. Despite this, on 5 December 2025, personality.co charged 995 Turkish liras from my QNB Finansbank card in Turkey without my consent or prior notification. I only noticed this when I checked my bank account. There was no specific subscription or package name stated on the bank statement, only the company name, and I later closed that bank account, so I no longer have access to the detailed statement file. When I contacted the personality.co customer service, they claimed that after a 7‑day trial period, they automatically start charging 995 Turkish liras every four months. However, they did not answer any of my questions about why no charge was taken at the end of the 7‑day trial in June and why the first 995 Turkish lira payment was only made nearly six months later. The fact that there was no automatic charge after the trial clearly supports my statement that I cancelled my subscription on the same day I paid 69 Turkish liras, and that this new charge is unjustified. I request that the unauthorized 995 Turkish lira charge dated 5 December 2025 be fully refunded to me, that any active membership or subscription associated with my name, email, and card be completely cancelled, and that I receive written confirmation that no further charges will be made without my explicit consent.
