Pegasus Took My Money for Extra Baggage but Left My Elderly Relatives Stranded
On April 12, 2025, at 04:50 AM, I bought tickets from Pegasus Airlines for the Medina–Istanbul flight for my father and aunt. I also paid extra for their baggage allowance. Despite this, Pegasus only accepted one 25 kg suitcase and refused to take the rest, leaving my father and aunt in a difficult situation. They had a right to 30 kg of checked baggage, 8 kg cabin baggage, and 3 kg of under-seat baggage, but none of it was accepted. No one helped us—everyone we approached ignored the issue. The bags were left behind, and my other aunt, who lives there, had to collect them. Even though I paid ₺1200 for the baggage allowance, we were mistreated. I called Pegasus, but no one helped. We were humiliated despite paying, and the extra baggage I purchased was wasted. Is this how you treat two elderly people over 65? My aunt had to leave behind items she had bought, and she cried so much her eyes were swollen. How is my other aunt supposed to send those bags now? You took away our rights.
