On October 2, 2024, I was traveling internationally with my mother from Sabiha Gökçen Airport via Pegasus Airlines. I had a cabin baggage allowance and had also upgraded my checked baggage from 20 kg to 25 kg. I received an SMS and email from Pegasus confirming my free cabin baggage allowance.
However, an employee named Ö*** demanded an extra fee for my backpack. After I paid, they told me I couldn’t take my backpack onboard, even though it had my laptop and other electronics. As a master's student, this situation left me completely frustrated. I asked to retrieve my backpack, but the employee rudely told me to "go downstairs and get it yourself."
None of the other passengers’ backpacks were weighed, and when I mentioned this, the staff shamelessly replied, "That’s your bad luck." In total, Pegasus has charged me nearly ₺10,000 for seat selection, extra baggage, and this additional fee. I am requesting a full refund for this unfair treatment!
