Pegasus Charged Extra for Cabin Bags on My Flight Without Notice

On November 11, 2025, at 03:15, during our Pegasus Airlines flight from Medina to Istanbul, my family of eight experienced a serious issue regarding our cabin baggage. Although we had a total of seven cabin bags, we were told that our tickets did not include cabin baggage allowance and were not allowed to take them on the plane. We had received no prior notification about this. The staff demanded an additional ₺4,500 for sending four of the cabin bags to the aircraft hold, and we had no choice but to pay by credit card. We were allowed only one cabin bag. We could not take the remaining two cabin bags with us and had to leave them with someone there and send them via cargo, which cost us an additional ₺1,900 (the cargo invoice was ₺1,800). Throughout the process, we reported our complaint to Pegasus staff and customer service, but no help or solution was offered. This was the first time I’ve encountered such a problem, and it caused both financial and emotional distress. In total, I had to pay ₺4,500 in extra baggage fees and ₺1,900 for cargo. My flight PNR is 1C7L9H. I request that Pegasus compensate my loss by refunding the extra charges I paid and issuing an official apology.
