Otelz Canceled My Paid Reservation and Delayed Refund via Wallet System

Otelz Canceled My Paid Reservation and Delayed Refund via Wallet System

I made a hotel reservation through Otelz.com and paid by credit card, only to be informed later that the hotel was actually fully booked and my reservation had been canceled. The issue? The hotel appeared available on the site, which misled me into booking in the first place.

Instead of issuing a refund directly to my card, Otelz deposited my money into something they call a “ZCüzdan” (ZWallet)—a feature I never opted into or agreed to use. And now, they’re telling me I’ll have to wait 10 business days just to transfer my own money back to my bank account.

This feels intentionally deceptive. First, they allow bookings at full hotels, then cancel them and delay refunds, likely holding onto customers’ money for cash flow. It’s hard not to see this as a deliberate tactic to use our money without consent.

I was clearly misled and financially inconvenienced. I demand that my full refund be transferred immediately to my credit card. I will never use Otelz.com again and will actively warn others about this kind of practice if this isn’t resolved swiftly.
