I Face Last-Minute Hotel Cancellation and Refund Delay with Otelz.com Booking
I booked a hotel through Otelz.com, but less than 24 hours before my check-in, I received a call informing me that my reservation had been canceled. This came as a complete shock. I had already made the full payment, which was processed instantly. Yet, I was told that the refund would take 7 to 14 days to be processed. Why is it that customers have to pay immediately, but refunds are delayed for up to two weeks?
To make matters worse, I had already rented a car to travel to the hotel. Since the reservation was abruptly canceled, I had to return the car the next day, effectively wasting a full day of rental. This alone cost me ₺3,000, and I received no compensation for that either.
I’m deeply frustrated by the lack of accountability and transparency. I expect a full and prompt refund for the canceled reservation and reimbursement for the unnecessary car rental expense caused by Otelz.com’s late notice. I urge the company to resolve this issue immediately and fairly.
